BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISION-LEVEL 3
The CVQ Level 3 in Building and Construction –Construction Site Supervision is for individuals whose role requires well developed behavioural competencies but whose scope for independent decision making and for bringing about change is unlimited. They can also function in a supervisory role.
They are likely to be in roles where they are required to:
- read and interpret plans
- prepare for building and construction work processes
- lead the work of teams and individuals
- plan, organize, control and evaluate work
- contribute to the control of contract implementation
- implement construction work programme
Normally persons working at Level 3 should be able to competently carry out simple, complex and routine work activities and to collaborate with others through groups and teams. The qualification covers competencies by providing services in Construction Site Supervision Level 3 by being able to understand and carry out components of building construction draughting, construction site manager, frontline management and supervision, construction project management, building surveying, building contracting, property and facilities management and information technology while working in a safe and hygienic manner.

The holders of this qualification will demonstrate a range of personal presentations and demonstrations of team work skills and literacy skills. To achieve this qualifications all core units must be achieved along with a minimum of one (1) Level 1 elective, three (3) Level 2 electives and one (1) Level 3 elective. The nominal training hours are a guide for planning the delivery of training programmes.
